Over 20 years ago, my husband and I decided to move our family to Missouri and we discovered the wonderful Christian County community.
As a retired registered nurse of 35+ years, I have always worked to be a strong advocate for people. I believe that part of being an advocate is to show respect for other's beliefs and choices. During my career, I held various positions in leadership, advocacy, and teaching roles and understand firsthand the challenges of health care over the course of several decades. Every single day, people's lives are changed in an instant for better or worse, depending upon the availability, quality, equity and cost of health care.
We need elected leaders in Jefferson City who will put people first. We have leaders who are supposed to represent us, but instead ignore us and our collective community values. We need leaders who will support policies that strengthen our public schools, stabilize our economy, bring our tax dollars back to our community, and ultimately drive down the outrageous costs of living to promote affordable communities. I will do these things, and I will listen to and support you.
The great state of Missouri and our Christian County community need leaders who will commit to work together for the interests of the people they represent. I promise that I will work to represent our collective principals and interests. I look forward to meeting you and ask for your vote to elect me as your state representative for District 140.
